Challenge.

The bread and butter are brands that rely on partners such as franchisees, dealers, agents, or local stores to win over customers. Through years of working with companies with this distributed sales model, they’ve developed an acute understanding of their challenges and the criticality of nurturing brand-to-consumer, brand-to-partner, and partner-to-consumer relationships equally.

While being one of the only team members to work with Ansira’s newly implemented API system for its customers, I realized we needed a more efficient way to create new assets within our software.

I ideated a new feature for our software to make the process of updating/adding API code to the software that makes the process more efficient, intuitive, and helps ensure a more error free process. The solution I developed was to globalize the API code we utilize within the various assets. To make this feature a reality I created high fidelity wireframes which included the design of all elements within the software (icons, type, color, layout, buttons, and input fields). The new feature and fields that I designed are strategically located in the software to make sure that they are recognizable and require minimal if any training. The new designs include a new subpage within the “Real Time Data Feeds” page titled, “Field Data” located in a tab next to the other API feeds. After the Field Data subpage was created I then created the new input fields and drop down option within the “Field Mapping” option which is part of the Template Custom Fields. Adding this feature within the Field Mapping allows the user to select an already created data feed or an option to input the data manually. Creating this new feature helped decrease production time of API templates by at least 50% and also assists with error free processes when updating or creating new API assets.

Since I am the main employee who utilizes the API for various assets and the software already created, my job was made fairly easy since I didn’t need to do rely on the methods I incorporate when I design a UX product.
